Tips on how to avoid Bullying
Don't be afraid to stand up for yourself.Stand your ground & act confident tell the bully to STOP!!!Lets say you are a person that loves school,work,teachers & you hang out with people that are just like you.You might get called a nerd.You & your friends need to stick up for eachother by doing that you could take some of the bullies power away.Try not to get to emotional because if you do, the bully is going to know what scares & angers you you're giving the bully more power.Most bullies want to see you get mad or give them a reaction.Pretend like you don't hear them & just keep walking.
What are bullies?
Google defines a bully as a person who uses strength or power to harm or intiidate those who are weaker.I think a bully is someone who messes with people to hide inadequacy.Some "bullies" decide they want to be a bully because they think it'll make them popular.Some want to be known as the ruler or that they are in charge.They want to establish that no one is above them.
The 6 different types of Bullying
1. Physical Bullying: includes any physical contact that would hurt or injure a person like hitting,kicking,punching,etc.
2.Verbal Bullying: is name calling,making offensive remarks,or joking about someones religion,gender,ethnicity,the way the they look.
3.Indirect Bullying: includes spreading rumors or stories about someone,telling others about something that was told to you in private,and excluding others from groups.
4.Social Alienation: is when a bully excludes someone from a group on purpose.
5.Intimidation: is when a bully threatens someone else & frightens that person enough to make him or her do what the bully wants.
6.Cyberbullying: ia done by sending messages,pictures,or information using electronic media,computers(email),or cell phones (texting).
